Nappy rash

TabithaTwitchet · 08/07/2009 12:00

Just changed Dd's nappy, as she was sobbing and wriggling, and she was really red and bleeding

Have smeared on some (ancient) Sudocrem I found in the cupboard. Have to go to the chemist anyway this afternoon, can anyone recommend a good cream?

Also we use cloth nappies and paper liners - should I switch to fleece liners while she is sore? Or is that even worse?

Any other tips for clearing things up.

Thanks

metanium is like clay, but works really well at treating soreness. it does stain clothes though, so be careful with it.
put a lot on. it works well.

Metanium is great. Leave the paper liners off for a few days and use fleece.

IMO Bepanthen is far and away the best cream for clearing up rash, and then keeping it away. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Better than sudocrem and metanium.
