BOYS Sunhat that ties under the chin????

I need some kind of sunhat for Ds 20months that will tie under his chin. Everytime I try to get him to wear any kind of hat he just pulls it off. He's fair and I don't want him getting too hot. Anyone know anywhere I can get one?

BTW, he has a small head for his age so if it's from a more baby aged range still might fit

Got one from Gap with a Velcro chin strap for my hat resistant ds2 who is 16 months, it stays on his head very well!

We have one that we got in Australia (not very useful) - sunsuit material, legionnaire's style with a neck flap and a chin tie. The brand is Ozone so you might find one online.

i've been searching too. ive given up and im getting some wool and plaiting some ties and then sewing them on.

Gap, definately. I've been stopped by two mums asking where it's from, I had a hell of a time finding one too

I have a lion in the sun one that I got from green baby. It's lovely. It is supposed to be for age 2 but fits ds aged 3.3 nicely, so I recommend going for a size down with this brand.

Yep Gap is the only place I've seen them. Weird as you seem to be able to get lots of pink flowery ones that fasten under the chin.

Is a fastening considered unmanly or something by the children's clothing industry?

You could probably rig up ties yourself quite easily with a bit of ribbon and some velcro.

Completely agree smallchange, there are loads of sensible girls sunhats, but boys, even teeny ones, seem to have a silly baseball cap available to them, or nothing

I used to get mine from Gap,I used to buy up all the big sizes in advance when I saw them as they were the only place I ever saw them.

I also had a fab one from France that had a draw string on the crown which stopped it coming off.

I got one from H&M for DD.

She can still get it off even with the sting on though!

I actually managed to find one! I live in the smallest town ever with only 2 shops where I can get baby clothes. Got it at Boots for £5. It's this one

Think I got 6-12 month size, told you he has a small head!

You can just buy cotton tape from a needlework shop and sew a couple of bits on.
