Rescue remedy and Star of bethlehem, Has anyone used in young baby 11wks..

I haven't used those personally so not sure if they are the right remedies but you can't really go wrong with rescue remedy anyway. Try it out and see if it works.

Have given my DD (4 months) a few Homeopathic remedies and they have worked a treat so far (and no, it's not my imaginations for those who doubt)

Bach rescue remedy contains alcohol, so I'm nto sure I'd suggest that for babies! I don't know Star of bethlehem.

Yes it does but only a very small amount and when you use rescue remedy you only use a few drops (3 or so).

It's brandy! I really wouldn't give this to a baby, not even three drops.

I am not being trite here honest, but do you think the answer might be to just not go on any non essential car journeys for a while? My DS1 was just the same and he grew out of it in his own time. Not all babies like cars - once they are aware of where they are, it makes sense that they might be frightened at being strapped so far away from you and not able to see you close up etc.

yes i used both my mine works a treat for teething too
gees my 3 yr old ds once stole two paper cups full of red wine on hols ,couldnt beleve it, i was very worried but she just slept it off ,woke up an said oh im thirsty !

An 11 week old baby is so tiny - I wouldn't give them even a few drops of something like neat brandy. (And I'm a mother who sucked the Pimms off a raspberry last week and handed it to my 8 month old, to occupy him while I had my drink in peace. So not exactly scrupulous about such things.)

A lot of people would worry about giving such a young baby rice (in the form of baby rice), and with good reason. So I think brandy is definitely out. Rice is pretty healthy and bland in comparison!

I would find a local homeopath (look in Yellow Pages) and contact them for advice. I take bach flower remedies, my mum is trained in it and makes me up a little bottle of the flower remedies I need diluted in some water, I then take 4 drops 3 times a day, so barely any alcohol in that mixture. You would possibly do something similar for a baby but I'd discuss it with someone trained I think first.

There is nothing in HV training that qualifies your HV to give this advice - unless she's done extra training of some kind? Personally, I wouldn't touch give alcohol to a tiny baby.

Yes HV has done extra training before being a HV-she stated was perfectly safe and will do no harm.

I do avoid non essential journeys but thats not easy where i live, and need car for most things.
Staying in wouldnt help us much either.

i havent given him any i'm still undecided.
