Hi. I'm sure this will have been done before but I can't find the thread.
I stop work on Friday for the summer holidays and plan to start potty training DD who is 2.7. She appears to be ready and will occasionally sit on the toilet/potty. She knows when she is doing a poo and can take her own trousers down. She is also a good talker so communication won't be a problem...I'm fully prepared to be mopping up accidents for a while.
Anyway, I'm looking for experienced potty-trainers to give me their best hints/tips.

Thanks.

Search under boot training camp and some of code Advice should come up

  1. Take dd to buy big girls pants and a potty or loo training seat
  2. Put potty in lounge get lots of potty books, like the little princess one 'i want my potty now'
  3. Take dd to potty every half hour or so read books until she goes
  4. Whoop with joy when she does a wee and give her
a sticker or choccy button
  1. Don't make a huge fuss when accidents happen just keep repeating big girls use the loo/potty
  2. Night time use a nappy

Good luck

You can use pampers care mats in the car, buggy and cot if she still naps to limit the mess
And spend loads of time outside
so u don't stress about accidents

Thanks. That was really helpful. I'm off to do that search now.
