DD (11 months) has a blisteringly sore bottom. literally around her bum hole where is has been touched by her pooh. It is so sore it bleeds?? ideas?????

Thrush/infection. Pop her to the GP in the morning.

Have you given her citrus fruits? Common reaction - called according to my GP ammonionitis - my ds always got it when had oranges/juice. Metanium and dry time is best.
