Tooth care tips please?

My 9month DD has quite a few teeth now and I'm concerned that I'm not doing a very good job of cleaning them.

She won't let me in there with the toothbrush.
My only tactic now is to hand her her toothbrush and then brush my own teeth, encouraging her to copy me, which she sort of does but mostly just sucks the brush.

She also won't let me clean her ears, which are looking a bit waxy!

Any tips?

First of all - I could be wrong, but I think ears are self cleaning, so although they look waxy, there is no need to actually clean them.
You must never ever insert anything (including a cotton bud) into the ear canal.
My ds is 11 months and he doesn't really let me brush his teeth either, but I just give them a quick run round with some baby toothpaste then give him the brush to chew on.
