Help with a 9 month old ! What do i try next ?

I'm a mum of 4 who thought she knew it all regarding rearing children. I DON'T !!

My LO is really hard work, has been since she was born, i might be to blame as i know she's my last and sometimes it's easier to carry her round than have her cry. BUT I have let her cry even when she was younger and it doesn't make a differance.

I'm at the end of my teather. If I put her down she cry's, even when all the children are round her trying to keep her happy. Doesn't like being on the floor, therefore not any intrest in moving ie crawling.

Now her sleeping has got worse, not that it was that good and is waking every 2-4 hours has a bottle 2-4oz and goes back to sleep.

The kids even ask why she cry's alot.

Should I put her in a nursery for a few hours to see if it makes a difference ?

Should I try osteopathy ?

Hi, I feel as though I'm teaching my mother to suck eggs posting as I only have one!

DS was very unhappy and we discovered he had silent reflux. Once he had medicine for this (special formular) he got alot better.

Hope it gets easier for you soon.

My first dd was easy as pie. Hardly cried, contented little thing. My second dd was a blinking nightmare as a baby. Wanting to be held all the time, cried loads. So highly strung. Thankfully now at 2 she has really mellowed and i can't tell much difference between the two of them!

micromum my DD2 went through a very long-lasting sep anx period around this time and I could not put her down either.

I just started spending all my time on the floor with her and trying anything to keep her entertained and on the floor E.G pots and pans, pegs, chocolate buttons (ha ha yes) and gradually she started to realise that on the floor was fine was long as I was there. So, this was my starting point, and then she started reaching for things, and then was crawling.

Even after this she was still clingy and I could not leave the room, but this slowly started to ebb away once she was walking to a good standard, and now at 17 months, I can wonder in and out of rooms and she comes if she wants, or waits for me to get back. She is really chilled now compared to how she was.

I can only think the waking at nighttime is because she craves your comfort and not so much food. Is she on a routine? If she is not, then I would go for that and see if that works. If she is and still having the waking, then you may just have to work at it in the day, and this will have a knock-on for night [hopeful emoticon for you]
