ideas for wii games for pre-schoolers

Probably posting in wrong place. We've had a Nintendo wii for ages after I made a big fuss about getting one. But we've hardly used it . Can anyone recommend games suitable for 4 year old ds so we can have fun together. Anything aimed at younger children would be good too as he doesn't pick things up too easily.

Mario Kart, definitely, as you have wheels which are easy for them to rotate to drive.

my 4yo loves playing mario kart but gets frustrated as he is always last and can't really do it. however, he loves wii sports.

Are there games that are intended for pre-schoolers then?

Mine wouldn't have the concentration span for it, tbh (which is a good thing IMO)

A lot of the games are for 3+, but personally I wouldn't bother. My DD is 4 and can hold the steering wheel but has no idea if she's facing the wrong way, going forward, backwards, over the edge, and she picks things up pretty easily! She just wants to join in with her older brothers, and I'm not keen on consoles for this age anyway. Like you it was me who wanted it, with some nagging from the DSs. I thought it was a fairly good compromise. Apart from the odd football match, it is rarely used (which I am quite glad about).

Get yourself a Wii fit or something.

What about Peppa Pig? My DD (2.6) can do the Peppa pig game on the Ds with no problems. Also, she's pretty good on the bowling game (wii) with a bit of help. We're buying our DDs a Wii for Christmas so I'll be interested to see what other people suggest!

Peppa Pig game? ooooohhhhh. Maybe I will bother after all...

Mario Kart - my ds could play a mean game when he was 4 (beat me regularly )

Wii Play is good too.

Bought ds a Go Diego Go game when he was about 3.5 which he loves & can play with very little help.

It depends on your child - my friend's DCs love Mario Kart, I think my eldest DD would have done if they'd been around then, but DD2 just doesn't get it - she's 6 and really not interested. She's OK with stuff like Nintendogs on the DS but is all over the place with a Wii.

My dd (3.5) loves the bowling in Wii Sport and in fact is better than my dh and at least as good as me. Her highest score is about 180, and she constantly gets strikes and spares! However she just sort of lobs the ball towards the pins so not sure how she does it!!!

She likes some of the other Wii sports games too but bowling definitely her favourite.

Shall I get 3.5 yr old dd the Peppa Pig, Disney adventure, Dora or Let's Dance wii?
