Living with parents/ in laws

It looks like me, DP and DD (2.3) will all be living with my parents for a couple of weeks, then across to live with my inlaws for however long it takes us to find DP a job and save up the deposit and first months rent on a new house (probably around 3 months or so)

Does anyone have any survival tips for moving back in with parents? I'm not too concerned about the bit with my parents, as it's only two weeks and I stay over there quite a bit anyway, but the inlaws bit is making me quite nervous.

Oh, I'm also 14 weeks pregnant, which means I don't quite have the patience I would normally have!

Typing quickly as DH out of the room.

Did this last year for 2 months, I was pregnant at the time, had DS1 with me and DH only visiting at weekends. We had to do it as moving house and sale went through before the purchase.

My MIL was fantastic, but you need to make sure you can talk to her about anything, otherwise you end up brooding on little things which bother you, which really aren't important.

I found it helped me to cope by making sure that I was in charge of everything for DS1, as if MIL had her way she would've cooked for us every night, very kind, but would've made me feel like I was a bit redundant as a mother! I made sure that I did a grocery shop every week, did as much cleaning as I was allowed (although I didn't touch a hoover in 2 months) and spent some time on my own with DS1 every day.

I really appreciated what our ILs did for us, they made our lives that much easier at a very stressful time.

Best of luck xxx
