Weeing standing up

Ds is just 2, and has been interested in weeing on his potty for a few months now, although only when we are at home and he is naked (ie he doesnt tell me that he needs a wee)

The problem is that he will only wee standing up, over his potty - I thought this was ok, but it suddenly struck me that when we start proper training its gonna cause problems as it wil take forever to get his shoes, trousers pants off to enable him to stand over the potty IYKWIM?

Has anyone got any advice, shall I stop the potty all together for the time being? Incidently he wont poo on the potty, just on the floor

Get a step-stool and let him wee standing up in front of the toilet. Trousers only need to go down to the knee, no need to strip down every toilet break, and no potty to clean! (Why doesn't everyone do this?)

Same as ches. ds never wee'd in his potty, we got a step up and he copied daddy right off.
My ds also refused to poo anywhere but in a pull up. Some children are scared of the feeling of the poo dropping and like it to feel close.
ds asked for a pull up for a poo and went behind the couch. i praised him for asking and eventually close to aged 3 he suddenly asked for the toilet insert and did it there from then on.
They are all different and have their own little ways. just go with the flow and don't make a big deal of it all and they will do it all when they are ready.

Thanks will have a look for a step -I'm in no hurry to rush him.

He has no problem with letting the poo fall out... ON THE FLOOR
