Are these any good for a newborn? Had the idea to try a couple if they are leaky I could use pads to stuff pocket nappies.Would get small rather than NB as expecting 8-9lb baby.Am a bit concerned the whole 'outer'doesn't look waterproof only the cradle.

The outer is waterproof. Maybe we just got lucky but I've never had a leak in them after seven months full time use.

we bought the mothercare smart nappy liners to use with terry nappies and DS has had a reaction to them. contemplating EC now, as we've left his nappy off all this afternoon and evening and he's weed in the potty each time he's needed to go. With help from me as he's only 12mths and can't quite walk yet.

We have some. I have heard a lot of bad things about them but I actually really like them (And bear in mind I have some much more expensive nappies but will still reach for the smart nappy if it is clean!).
