summer groups for 3 year olds?

HI I have a 3 year old daughter and her best friends have just moved far away, she is not starting nursery until september and she is a bit lonely. I need to know if there are any summer groups that i could take her to for the summer? she is an only child, so far. My friends do not have children yet, so it is proving a bit tricky. we live in the woodford/Loughton area of essex. I would appreciate help. Thank you.

surestart run groups through the holidays if you ahve one near you?

Surestart would be my suggestion too - though you could also try out local Little Kickers classes/toddler football classes (generally run through the summer) plus holiday passes to local Gymboree (though is pretty expensive). Do you have a one o'clock club near you? They're usually open through the holidays and good place to play with other kids too.

Local council will tell you about one o'clock club if in the area.

Google gymboree online to see if one in your area. Same for little kickers. Also try local leisure centres for kids sports activities over the summer - some run them from 3 onwards.
