DD has only been off school for an hour and I already feel like tearing my hair out...

Well I don't need to actually, she has done it for me, and headbutted me in the face

Aged 8 she is very strong, and is having the screaming abdabs for god only knows what reason...

She is non-verbal (special needs) and can't tell me, and after an hour of her howling and stomping and throwing things I am already halfway to the loonyhouse. Why on this sweet green earth her school is having a half-term of TWO BLEEDING WEEKS is truly beyond me...how am I going to cope???!!!

Ach, I'll be fine, but jeez this is hard sometimes! Rant over

Rant away.

It all kicked off in our car on the way home.

Am not sure I am up to a week of it - and mine don't have special needs - they are just really annoying.

You have my sympathy.

Just one more thing then...

AaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaargh!

There, that's better!

BOF sympathies. Is she reacting becuase she is aware of the change to her routine for the next 2 weeks?

I am approaching the start of half term by having dh take today of, farming dd out for a sleep over tonight and going out for dinner tonight with some girl friends and leaving dh to put ds to bed and order a pizza!

BitOfFun · 22/05/2009 17:17

Good plan!!

I'm just having a quiet one tonight- DP is on a rare night out, so I assumed it would be an early and alcohol-free night for me...but the likelihood of me avoiding a quick nip out to the offy is growing more slender by the minute!

Perhaps you're right about the routine, but it's so hard to tell.

Blimey love.

You are a star and you know it. I'm in awe of how you cope, truly.

Breathe (try not to inhale any wine as you do, ow) and carry on. That's my tip.

I've just had to install a lock on the outside of the bathroom door as DS has spent all day trying to run a bath.
