My daughter, who just turned 1 year old today, is teething again (getting her 3rd and 4th tooth) and i dont know what to do for her. She's constanly drooling and is getting her bibs and clothes soaking wet but thats not the big issue. the main issue is that she is constantly cranky and she will hardly sleep. the only way i have found to get her to sleep and stay asleep is to hold her and let her sleep on me, but i dont want her to get too attached to sleeping like that because i dont want her to think thats the only way to sleep. I dont want to keep dosing her with baby tylenol and teething tablets because im scared that doing that will have some kind of effect to her in the long run but i know thats the one way i can get her to sleep without sleeping on me. if anyone has any advise, please let me know. i dont want to keep medicating her but i dont want her to get so spoiled to here she wont sleep by herself. please help!

don't panic - you won't spoil her by letting her fall asleep on you - she's not feeling well and just wants you.

secondly, you won't do her any damage if you follow the instructions on the medicine - its been approved for your baby so shouldn't have any long terms effects.

its horrible when they're teething - my dd got 4 at once and it was pure hell for a month - I was ready to pack my bags and leave - my dh was working away at the time so didn't have anyone to rescue me.

once her teeth have come through she'll go back to normal.

Yes my 11 month old is getting her teethin really quickly now and she is so cranky. She sleeps so well and is so happy go lucky and contented in between teeth that I hold onto the thought that once teething is over she will go back to normal.
