am starting new placement this afternooon. will they be mean to me? will they think i'm an idiot who knows nothing? how the bloody hell am i going to cope with late followed by early? (am out of the habit of working shifts). will they laugh at my stiff new student uniform?

bless ya...presumably you are a student nurse? How have you enjoyed your first few shifts? What kind of ward are you dong your placement on?
Anyway, hope you have a nice Educator, or whatever they are called in nursing....didn't train over here for nursing, and trained like 20 years ago....but doing OT now and well on our placements we have educators!

It was fiiine.
Am student midwife (having been fairly senior nursey for a few years!) Is a bit of a change but really am having a ball. mentor v nice once she realised i could be some use

aww, great...and if you were a nurse that should be of some help, I would have thought....I certainly felt it was an advantage for me on my first ot placement....next time it might not help much, lol...as I asked to do a mental health one....but incase I don't like it, I know not to ask for mental health in my 3rd year
