Hi there, not sure if here is the best place to post this question but here we go. My DS's nappy leaked when he was having his after lunch nap. There is a small wet patch on the cot mattress and I don't know what would be the best way to clean it. I took the mattress out of the cot and placed it near the window to get some fresh air. What would you do to try to clean the mattress? many thanks for reading my post

does it have a removable cover? If so remove and wash it. If it is a waterproof mattress then wipe down with soapy water. I would then normally spray and wipe with anti-bac spray.

Hi Seona, thanks for your reply. It does not have a removavle cover and I am not sure if it is waterproof either . One of the sides of the mattress has a plastickish material on it, but unfortunately that was not the side I have been using . Do you think that is the side I should start to use from now on... Oh dear, feeling about my silly questions...

you can foam up a sponge and dab into damp are washing up liquid is fine and then blot to get damp out and blow dry the mattress then use the plastic side up its probably a built in mattress protector

I put sodium bicarb on my mattress to soak it up, then vacuumed it. Didnt smell at all.
