So, I have decided on Itti Bittys....

But I have another question first..... DD is about 17lbs and fits the mediums nicely, but she is quite long and thin so they are very low. When I fasten them they are on the tightest poppers without overlapping. Now, I want to get a full set but as they are sized I don't really want to get mediums now and then have to spend another fortune getting larges in a couple of months. Soooooo....... can I get away with larges now do you think? Are they going to leak if they're too big or will they just come up higher on her body? I am not going to use them over night as dd hates anything except disposables over night and I figured that if I only use them at night (the eco ones obviously) then I'm still going to go to heaven.

So......what colour are you going to get?

Marthasmama · 14/05/2009 22:55

I want the pink (natch), purple, ivory, baby pink, lilac, yellow, red and lime green, two of each and some additional snap in bits. Mmmmm... see, I'm excited and need advice!!!!!!!

thye might be a bit gapey around the legs if she is long and thin. My 6.5mo old Ds is a chunky monkey and is just fine in the large, although I'm selling my nappy stash and have a large in turquoise used only four times.

Look out for my ad in the classified tomorrow.....you might want to try a nearly new large and see how you go before splashing out

MrsJamin · 15/05/2009 06:27

Yeah I have both sizes, the larges are pretty big, DS was in them from 12 months. I'd try one and see how it fits? The colours which have washed best are turquoise, purple and red. The yellow, rockmelon and lime look a bit tired.

Thank you ladies. I really want the Itti Bittis as they are so gorgeous. Lack, I'll keep an eye out.

Wee Notions do AI2s as well - and they look much higher in the rise than ittis, so sould suit long and thin babies? They are very newly out, but seem to be getting excellent reviews. You can choose different coloured inners and design your own etc. They are the same as the ittis as you can change the inserts and use the outer again if you buy spare inserts. I haven't got any as I mainly use 2 parters now.

But if Blake were a girl I would be after this one

That is SOOOOOOOO girly! I might get her a couple of special occasion ones!
