First time he's ever stolen.
He had some dollars stashed away (which were his) and I told him I needed to put them somewhere safe. He was reluctant to give me them. I eventually found them hidden under his pillow ... amongst them was a £10 which he'd taken from my purse.
He said he did it as "a joke".
