DD apparently doesn't want the world saved for her future....

I have recently started on the quest to find really easy to use, lazy cloth nappies for 7 month old dd. I bought four: Itti Bitty D'Lish, Tots Bots AIO, BumGenius AIO and Blueberry pocket (well you have to get a Blueberry don't you ) We like the Itti Bitty because of the snap in liner and the fact that you can change just the liner. The BumGenius leaked overnight and the Blueberry was a disaster. The Totsbot was a close second behind the Itti Bitty. However dd has different ideas. She HATES the real nappies and is really grumpy when she has one on. Today she was being very grumpy again for no apparent reason. In the afternoon when I changed her I just put her in a disposable and she was her normal self again, instantly. It could be that she is actually feeling wet for the first time I suppose. She was ok in the Tots Bot but everything else has made her really miserable. Any ideas? I am determined to get her in cloth nappies so will not let her sulking put me off! I am reluctant to just get Tots Bot at the moment as I have heard they are prone to overnight leaking. Help!!!!

I only have ittis out of those. Are the others fleece lined?
Fleece liners make them feel dry. I use ittis but only with the trifold insert and then put a fleece liner over that.

Blake didn't mind swapping to cloth - he was about 7 months. Toby was just over 2 and quickly potty trained - he used to walk around smacking the cloth nappies when he had one on - he just hated the bulkiness, but I did start off with fluffles and they are huge!

Bear with me twoclimbing...I'm still learning! I have fleece liners that I put in. The Tots Bot is fluffy and fleecy and I put a fleece liner on top. The BumGenius has a double layer cloth hammock type thing, which I put a fleece liner on top of. DD did seem to hate the bulk. She couldn't roll so got really angry. I really like the Itti Bittys but she really seems to hate them She has no taste.

lol - at least she knows how to very clearly make her feelings known!! She sounds hilarious, I used to have sly giggles at Toby being violent towards fluffles. He got used to cloth quite quickly and happily wears massive nappies with fleece wraps over of a night now with no tantrums.
Hopefully she will get used to them. If she isn't a heavy wetter you could possibly try the itti with just one insert it may feel less bulky for her?
I like itti's too but Blake has a huge bum so he has poop leaks every week or so in them and never has in any other cloth nappy! I love rockmelon and turqouise - what colours did you get?

I just got one for the moment, the bright pink [big girly emoticon] Do you think she'll get used to the Ittis? Or am I a mean mummy to make her use the ones she doesn't like? And yes she is very funny. She has recently developed the habit of laughing at ds when he's crying! Heh heh!

I wonder why she doesn't like the ittis - they are similar in shape to a dispo aren't they and not at all bulky really? I am most of the pink fluff!

No, you aren't mean at all. Anyway, I bet she looks extra cute in it - she will thank you when looking at photos when she is older
