Some lovely people on the SN board said that I should call in here.

I'm Amber, and I have Asperger syndrome, arthritis, spinal scoliosis and some dyspraxia. I have a ds with SN and my dh has some too. We cope really well as a team, but I won't pretend life is always easy.

Have found it really difficult for me to cope with some of the social things and ideas in some parts of mn, so I would love to be able to post here from time to time if that's ok?

Hi amber - welcome to MN . I have been posting here for about 5 years or so and it's a great message board. Things can get heated sometimes but hey - that's what being a parent is all about.

My DS has developmental dyspraxia and some sensory processing problems. There are several people here whose children have SN in one form or another and they are great for support and advice.

I've been on MN for a while, but only in a small handful of places really, and it recently went very wrong for me when I didn't cope with part of it. It takes me a while to find new bits of mn.

Thank you muchly for the welcome, JollyPirate

Amber has left MN. This is just to let you all know, as she asked me to tell you.

Mary - when/how did she give you this message? Can you let her know that the tearoom will miss her - and ask whether there is any possibility of some email contact even if she doesn't want to come back into the tearoom?

MaryBS · 11/05/2009 13:39

I received an email at 12 noon today. I will certainly pass on any messages, and will forward contact details for anyone who wants to keep in touch.

Either post them here, or email them to me on
sutton mb at talk talk dot net and I will pass them on

With Justine's knowledge, I've returned just so I can get some support whilst I'm having a tough time. In no particular order in the last few months, dh recently nearly died of a brain haemorrhage, both our family dogs died including my autism assistance dog, I'm waiting for an operation for endometriosis, our family business is being kicked out of its offices because the landlord has gone bankrupt, and ds is stressed out doing his GCSEs (he has fairly profound dyslexia etc). And this week, two friends died

If the year can get worse, I'm not sure how. Oh, it sort of did, because then I found out I'm not strong enough to read the things I need to read on mumsnet, as it crashes my brain, which is starting to show signs of autism-related brain damage. And I seem to have started a debate about whether I should be on mumsnet (if I can't cope with all I might read) that got far, far bigger than I would ever have thought possible and I have no clue what to make of any of it other than

Hope it's ok to just 'be' on here?

Welcome back, Amber.

I hope you can find the support you need and that good things start to happen for you.
