Tommee Tippee Cotton Bottoms

Having used terries off and on with DS1, am now pregnant again and want to use cloth full time - I was given a TT cottom bottoms birth to potty pack by a very kind friend who never used it. Can work out that it comes in 3 sizes, and that it comprises inner and cover - but how do I fold the inner cloth?! If I just fold along the lines to make it a long pad, it is longer than the outer wrap and doesn't look as if it would provide great coverage! Do I need to do terry style folds?! Have googled, but can't seem to find anyhting!!

I'm surprised there are no instructtions with it - maybe your friend still has them?

You need to fold part of the short side down first, then fold it into thirds along the lines, as you did before. Put the bulkier bit at the front.

IIRC, you can also try folding along one of the lines, and then turning it sideways (so landscape) and folding the two sides in (so in thirds again, but this time not in the direction of the lines).

Ask me again if that doesn't make sense - its hard to explain, but not at all hard in practice. I think one of the above is meant to be for boys and the other for girls, but I seem to remember I just faffed around with it and used what seems to fit best.

No she doesn't - everything else is present and in pristine condition except those!!

I'll experiment following your instructions tonight - thank you!

I use these and ended up with about 3 of the instruction sheets. Will see if I still have one hanging around that I could send to you.

We do the fold that Astrophe describes first, which in the instructions is the "boy fold". IIRC, the girl fold was just folding into thirds.

That would be great - thank you.

Oh, I've remembered I think. The 'girl' fold is when you just fold it in thirds - (don't fold top down first), but you fold accross the lines, not along them them (ie, fold in thirds short ways, not length ways). So you end up with a bulkier bit in the middle (because the middle third is thicker than the two outer thirds), and apparently girls wee in the middle, and boys wee at the front of the nappy.

Sorry, I've checked and I don't have any of those instruction sheets. Must have thrown them out in a big clear up. I think Astrophe has covered the folds though.

Thanks - I've printed off this page anyway, so will use it for reference (don't know if it's a boy or a girl yet )
