pocket nappies wicking

Hello, wonder if anyone can help me. I am getting really fed up with reusable nappies as they leak so badly. We have a mixture of BG, pop-ins, itti bitti's, fuzzibunz and wonderoos. My daughter is 10 months and has always had chunky thighs and ever since we started on reusables when she was a few weeks old they have wicked around the legs so that after about 3 hours her tights or trousers are damp even though the inners still have some dry areas. I now put a wrap over the top which does completely solve the problem but seems a bit mad - and bulky - and makes the whole point of pockets pointless! Have long stopped using poppered vests by the way. Any thoughts at all? Am i the only one? Everyone else seems to love them!

just off to bed but as a thought - could be compression from the tights squeezing it out of the legs. You mentioned a few - do they all leak?

might sound obvious but do they leak if you change her more often? our pockets just don't seem to have the lasting power of wrap/nappy combos and I'd expect them to leak after 3 hours tbh. I still love pockets but don't know how people use them at night - there must be a secret to stuffing them that I need to learn lol

the tights do make them worse - i just know that with a wrap (or when away and using disposables) there is no problem. Maybe I need to accept that I have to change them more often but to be honest tempted just to shove an airflow over the top to get that extra hour!

I prefer a two-part nappy system and just keep a couple of Bumgenius for the change bag because they're so convenient.

But I do think they aren't as absorbent as a nappy and separate wrap combination.

Try babylegs + socks instead of tights? That makes changing less of a faff too.

The most reliable pockets that I have are ecobubs, I use them overnight too with an extra booster. But even with those I tend to change them every 3hours during the day as we have had leaks once or twice when a nap has taken her over 4hrs.
