Bolt and Monsters V Aliens will probably still be on in the big cinemas.

I have taken both my kids since they were 3, they love the cinema.

I'm going to take dd (3.7) as soon as I see a film that's not too scary (she's VERY easily scared). She saw Bolt twice on the airplane last week and liked it.

Dd loves musicals - we've watched Mamma Mia and High School 3 at home.

I'd like to take her on a Sunday morning - but I'm not usually confident the film will not be too scary and easier to deal with at home.

not sure why a bright 3 year old would see different films from other 3 year olds? dont' take offence, am curious really

Bolt is a really nice film for small children. There were bits in Monsters v Aliens which I didn't think suitable for very young children (but would depend on your child, mine scares easily!!)

hi, my 3.10 found bolt a bit scary....but loved wall e and was ok with prince despareaux and madagascar 2 got bit bored that though..so am sticking to u films now....would recommend if you can taking her to see a film she knows ..or finding a smaller (pos art house cinema?) place for the first time worked really well for us...also going sat/sun morning kids prog as less issue if child talks all way thru/gets upset etc etc as all families there ....looking forward to UP (next pixar ) coming out soon.........

www.myvue.com/kidsam/

as at 1.70 for child +adult its easy to leave...

applepudding · 03/05/2009 23:09

3rdnparty - Thanks for that link - I'm not quite sure how far away our nearest vue cinema would be but that looks really good.

Hmmm. I took DD 3.8 to see BOLT and we had to leave.

She just couldn't get past the Truman show-esque concept and it frustrated her. Ultimately she said she wanted to go home because.....

It was dark and she couldn't see her sweets It was her first visit.

We are looking forward to UP.
