I cannot cope with the repetitiveness of DD1's books anymore, They are so short I have half of them memorised!
I have discovered The Three Little Pirates by Georgie Adams and Emily Bolam which is great, it's a picture books with 9 chapters, each the length of a 'normal' storybook.
Does anyone know of any others? We need the pictures as DD2 is normally about at story time and likes to look!

Don't know about chapter books, but have you got any of the Hairy Maclary books? I am in love with all things Lynley Dodd, the only books I can read with pleasure for the 100th time. DS (21 months) adores them too although they're a bit old for him.

have you tried The Three Little Witches by Adams and Bolam.

My Naughty Little Sister has line drawings by Shirley Hughes but not on every page. Goes down very well with DD1 though, as she does have a naughty a little sister.

Yup, ahve found, Hairy McLairy from Donaldson's (got to be quite unhygeinic as they have a dog running around it) Dairy at the library, I am bored of them all! DD is happy to have the same book repetitively but it is so nice to have something new, but that is familiar enough to be reassuring to her!

Will try naughty little sister, I have a copy in my old book box somewhere, I think I have to buy all of Adams and Bolam's books, they are great!
