Is this normal? She's been a brilliant sleeper since about 6 months but of late, she's been waking in the night crying on and off. We try to leave her to settle and more often than not, she does. Last night however, she was crying on and off for an hour. Her nappy didn't appear too wet, she wasn't too warm etc. After checking all was okay, I went to leave her room and she burst into big sobs with proper tears :-)

I picked her up and she got very snuggly. We cuddled for 10 minutes or so and then I put her back down. She went to sleep again with minimal fuss.

She's recently dropped her daytime naps (bummer)and has been good and tired when it's her usual bed time. She's eating normal etc.

Any thoughts?

Molars.

They frickin' hurt. Give her some paracetamol before bed and teething gel too and see if it magically cures the problem. Also have a look in her mouth or ask her if she is talking already.
