Nappy website have stopped their 20 % discount early in Real Nap Week? Fair?

Softbots seem to have run out of stock . They were offering 20 per discount and free postage. The website says the offer runs until 3 rd May but just been informed it has stopped now as has been more popular than thought? Hmm? Annoyed because I thought I had until 3rd May to order.

Maybe because the margins on the bumgenius especially is so tight they could actually be losing money or they could have sold out.

I got in with my order on the first day [smirk]

Fifteen BG's with a nappy bucket just under 190 quid, which i thought was ok, don't remember which website it was though hold on a mo

I tried emailing nappyzone? .... but got no reply so ordered them from ...which i will find any second..

Bumfluff has discount, but can't offer as big as everywhere else due to personal skintness (sorry )

20% is a big discount for most nappy sellers to offer as unless they make the nappies themselves, our margin for profit is very small anyway.

Fair enough imo.

Its a business afterall, and these are hard times.

If real nappy week is bringing awareness to a wider audience then great. Why shouldnt small companies make a bit of money out of it ?

On a personal level I'd be a bit 'humph' ... but I can see the wider picture.

And if your council supports a moneyback scheme they will be even cheaper

Agree that its a business though nice to see RN's are so popular after i spend ages cunfuddling over whether to change to real ones!

Will take a look at the site Stercus. I might have moved a bit faster if there had been a 'While Stocks Last' qualifier. I suppose the idea around the larger discount is that maybe buyers will be tempted to buy for the first time from that co and return time and time again , RNW or not.
No council scheme here .
My May day motto ' Do it now not in a few days time' .

Someone on here told me about nappyzone when i was asking about BG's a few weeks ago.. and i think also bumfluff..? Not sure about that one but DEFINATELY nappy zone cos i emailed about a price for 24

oooooo how mysterious - i am always very anal about respondgin to everyone lol! I defo have had nooothing which is a mighty shame as i always try and discount a bit more for mumsnetters . I hope you enjoy your nappies though and in case anyone wondering yes i have hundreds of bg in stock and my offers will run on until the end of real nappy week unless they run out which is v unlikely < realises why rnw has been so quiet now and skulks off>!

I had one and loved it so thats why i got more, it grieved me that i paid nearly 20 bleedin quid for ONE from mothercare inc the postage which i thought was a royal rip off but i spose now its worth it.

LOL no worries its a free market and you can buy your nappies from anywhere you want i just dont like to think i havent got someoens e mail or ignored it coz thats rude! Yes im a real person lol as is bumfluff on here but i dont know her call name these days flitting between a flame and a sparrow . I have an ad in the small business ads if you ever have a problem hunting me down

Just been on their site, discount still seems to be on? Just says delivery will be 2/3 working days due to high demand.

Yes, but when you come to put the code in at the checkout it doesn't recognise it!!
Had an email from the company saying they have stopped the special offer now.

Tis really just that i wanted 24 as a kit and i was pointed in the direction of your site, didn't think i was being ignored, my gmail acc is playing up i think, i also sent a mail to a motorcycle instructor about doing a CBT and didn't hear back from them either..oh well, crappy gmail lol.

Still will come to you if i need any more BG's.. which i think i may as my grand total will be 16, with a 3 1/2 month old DS, dunno how many extra i'll need
