should i buy a pram that turns around so the baby faces forwards or a maclarens buggy that is suitable from birth. i want to buy a maclarens xt but someone told me it is better for babys be facing you for around the first 6 months or so. what does everyone think forwards or rearfacing.

Either way is fine. Really.

I personally would go for one that lasts from birth upwards and isn't too frilly or excessive.

If you think you will go for more than one baby, you might consider the jane or phil & teds double buggy - the P&T sport for example has a lovely cocoon/hammock thing that the baby lies in until it can sit up a bit more. You can have it set up as a single and just add the second seat as and when the time comes.

For lightness and ease, I love my Maclaren XT - the baby will be absolutely fine in whatever you put it in!! I added a sheepskin and a cosy toes to make it all snug and cosy.

if you're thinking of the xt, why not think about the XLR and I think you can get a carrycot for it as well, so baby can lie flat and face you?
