Dry pants at night for weeks but refusing to go nappyless

DD1 age 2y 5mo has been dry for weeks at night and dry at naptime since at least christmas. Did daytime potty training at easter which went well. Since started that she has woken up a few times asking for potty or shouted us between lights out & sleep needing to wee on potty. Because of this we moved to pull-ups at night as easier if needed to use potty since now in big girl pants, she wont lie down for nappy. Been through full pack, dry every morning so thought what's the point lets go commando. But NO! says DD. I need nappy. Any advice?
