How do I stop DD waiting until last moment to do a wee?

I would try some sort of reward system - a star chart or something. Let her choose a treat and say you will stick a star on her chart everytime she goes to the loo without a fuss when you ask her; then when she has 10 stars (or whatever number you choose) she will get her reward!

Think of it as 'incentivisation' rather than bribery!

What matters to her, dilemna, and how old is she? I had trouble with DD from age 2-4. She gave herself UTIs she was so stubborn about it.

We used to say she couldn't watch telly or eat anything nice until she'd been to the loo.

Could it be the novelty factor of going to the loo outdoors? The thing is, DD wants to decide for herself when she goes, and as all small children do, refuses to do what she's asked. Try incentives or witholding nice things until she goes without a fuss, as others have said.
