My son is 4 years old. We moved to England in December from Italy. He has only ever spoken italian. He started nursery since January and understands neraly all english now but alot of diffilculty to speak. Would like some advice on how to help him (i am english)

Gianna, I would guess that he will quickly become quite confident speaking English. maybe try speaking only english to him when you are out of the house so he becomes confident speaking English to you.

Gianna, I have done it the other way. From my understand of language development, children understand at least 10 words for every word they can speak. Perhaps play some games with him (in English) or speak ony English wih him until his language is more developed.
