We are having quite a few fiery rows just now. DP is under a lot of stress and not the most mild person at the best of times. He is being quite mean and nasty and just can't NOT row in front of the little ones. Sometimes it is impossible to distract them or take them away (ie in the car) and I feel that I need to calm DP down and stop him doing something silly. To be honest this period has been going on and on with no resolution in sight (just as we think things are calming down, something happens and we are back on panic alert). TBH I am dragging myself along as it is (every time I start to feel up again some hell breaks lose and I am back to square one).

How can I stop the little ones being in therapy for the rest of their lives?

Hi, could you speak to your DP when he is calm and discuss the effects of his temper on the DC? I don't think there is an excuse for your DP loosing his temper in front of the DC on a regular basis. I'm not sure what you mean by 'doing something silly' but maybe you could take the DC upstairs/into a bedroom for a story while DP calms down? Hope this helps.

Can you book a bsitter and arrange some time for just the two of you to discuss whats causing the upset and try to agree steps to resolve it...
