Anyone from Mablethorpe, Lincs? Recommend some decent places to eat?

we have the chance to use accommodation here for a weekend break. I would like to find some nice pubs or places to eat as someones told me its all fish and chips!! Which I dont mind but wanted a couple of places to go - dont mind driving.

The beach and seafront at Mablethorpe was fantastically clean last time i popped over there, and i thought quaintly retro

If it is still there, Chan Chadz is nice which is near the sea front, on the corner.

And, around the corner from Chanchads, on the main roads with the B&B's there is a really good restaurant who does set menus or x courses for x price. Nice there.

Don't live there, have family there (Dh's uncles, aunts and grandparents live in Mablethorpe)

We only found fish and chips.
And lots of arcades and funfairs.
Not retro imo. Apart from the seaside manky donkeys....
