Did you have another child even though your OH not keen and

how did it turn out?

My DH is happy to go for another baby, however has made it clear he is also happy with what we have (2) and only saying yes to keep me happy so I don't resent him in years to come. His concerns are that it will be a lot more work, which I can see his point as with no family nearby to help its been non stop as it is!

Would love to hear your experiences and thoughts on this.

Thanks

I don't think I would go for it if DH wasn't keen.

3 would be quite a different kettle of fish to 1 IMO.

do you really want another?

And are you prepared to take any future comments about the hard work on the chin?

And are you prepared to have to look after this baby on your own (what happened to me with DS2 who was high-needs reflux baby - I still resent DH for not helping out).

But maybe you are happy to do it anyway?

I think it depends on you and what you are prepared to put up with.

mine was happy with 2, but knew that I really, really wanted another so we are expecting number 3 in June.

i think if your DH really was against the idea of another baby he would say so. so the fact that he is happy to try for number 3 is a good thing surely?

Thanks! I'm 38 so don't have time on my side to think about it a few years! he's definately not against the idea, he's just concerned about the amount of work involved which worries me also. He also knows I'd like a little girl, so that's another story, but deep down regardless I don't feel our family is complete!

Ooh that's like us.

Only it's DH who would like a little girl after 2 DS.

We have almost 100% decided that we are stopping at 2 but take turns saying, well, maybe.

Read some of the threads about 3 children on here, there are lots of useful points about the negatives and positives.

Thanks will do. We're 95% we'll go for it, but that 5% brings up lots of questions - mostly for me!

Have to add that I am incredibly broody, everyone seems to be pregnant right now and I am so envious! My 2nd is only 6 months so its very crazy!
