Cloth nappies

I'm thinking of making the switch to cloth nappies. Has anybody got any tips, or recommend somewhere I can get them online - I'm not out and about much these days!

I'd recommend contacting your local council or Wildlife trust to see if they do trial kits/sample packs and/or incentives such as rebates on your purchases. Ours does both, and it was really helpful to find out what sorts of nappies are available and what works for your LO.
It might have saved me a lot of money spent on nappies that didn't suit our DD's shape, but I was a bit eager & went rather mad on the for sale section on here! However, that's another good way to get a feel for what works for you without spending heaps. There's also usually loads of lovely helpful people on here when you have a question/dilema
Also, you could try one or other of the websites that sell nappies; many of them have loads of really useful info and some can put you in touch with a local 'adviser' - which is useful cause you can see the different types 'in the flesh' so to speak. They don't seem to be too much into the hard sell, but I haven't actually used this service, so I can't say for sure.
The sites I've found most useful are:
the nappy lady
babykind
lollipop
Hope it's OK to post those names here, a good google should find the sites for you. As I said, all are sellers, but even the websites are mines of information. Hope that helps - I'm sure other Mnetters will come back with more first hand info, but this might get you started. Good luck! Jo x
