Ok I 2 dd's and have used pampers for them with no problems. So when i had DS 3 1/2wks ago i continued with pampers, but it doesn't matter how tight i do his nappies they always seem to leak.

Am i doing something wrong or should i try another brand of nappy. Or just except even at this age he is going miss and make a mess of the bathroom .

Make sure his willy is pointing downwards, or they pee up into the top where it is not so absorbent.

...make sure his willy is pointing down when you do up the nappy

oh and make sure you have the right size - with a 9wk old DS we're in #3's already.

With my Ds's I could never get on with pampers the just consistantly leaked, I switched to huggies and only had 1 leak

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 17/04/2009 21:25

We've never had a lot of luck with pampers with our 2 ds's

We use Tesco in the day and Huggies at night (though I'm currently doing the mn/lidl nappy trial so that might all change soon!)

Make sure his willy is down and central, check the frilly bits around the legs aren't tucked in and don't overtighten the nappy.

Hope you get it sorted - the extra washing is a bugger eh?!

fy I had a DS after a DD, couldn't work out what was wrong with the nappies at first

lizziemun · 17/04/2009 21:34

Thanks for youe replies.

I do make sure his willy is pointing down and central.

He is in the right size (no 2) we had to get smaller one's as we bought no3's first which is what we used for both dd's as they both over 9lb's at birth where as he was only 8lb and now only 9lb 8oz.

I have to experiment a bit more and keep up with the washing. Thank god the weather improving .

Are his legs skinny? You may just need to wait until he's chubbed out a bit

nappyelite · 20/04/2009 14:27

you could try a wrap cover for cloth nappies over the top? may sound extreme but it could help.
