Today DD12 has said the following

"I never want to eat any chocolate ever again" and
"I want to go back to school"

what have yours said that you didn't expect?

I love you. (autism. previously non-verbal)

and on a lighter note "I tidied my bedroom" (although he was claiming 50p for it so it may not count! )

ah, that's sweet

I don't believe DD when she says she has 'tidied' her room
what she really means is she has pushed everything underneath her bed
her bed is like the one in the princess and the pea, except the pea is 12 years of accumulated rubbish treasure that she sleeps on top of

(On a rare day off school, because she was ill, I called home to DD aged 13)

Me: You alright?
DD: Yes
ME: If you're bored, the dishwasher needs emptying.
DD: I've done that and hung the washing out and put some more on.

This happened to my mom, not me.

I was around 3, and being particularly naughty/annoying/fussy while my mom's friend was visiting.

Mom: 'Do you want to go to your room?' (as a threat so I would behave)

Me: 'YES!' (and stomped off to my room)

Mom's friend: 'HOW did you get her to do that?'

Mom: 'I have NO idea.'

Apparently I played quietly for a while, then came back and was sweet as pie.
