Hmm tricky one. DS1 (who will be 12 in June) had a friend to sleep over in the Feb hols, I asked them to go up to bed about 11.15 and lights out at 11.45. I could still hear them talking for a bit but nothing major.

Send them up now, but don't expect them to stop chatting and giggling until about 5am

We used to get round this by letting our daughters and their friends camp out on the living room floor which meant that we got a good nights sleep ourselves.

We always removed the viewing card from the Sky Box though!
