Why is my baby so windy??

I am really struggling with a 23 week old baby boy who crys alot with pain caused by wind. He is my fourth baby and I have never know such a windy baby. My other children did not suffer with wind after around 12/13 weeks.

He sruggles with his feeds, arches back. I was prescriped gavisgon a few weeks a go as my GP thought he had reflux, I used it for a while but it had know effect.

I have tried gripe water, infacol and apitmal easy digest. I keep thinking he will grow out of it but I am also worried that there is more to this excessive wind.

He is now one Cow & Gate 1st milk.

He screams in pain for several hours every day even my friends and family are wondering whether it is normal for a baby of nearly 6 months.

Has anyone else got experience of this and how do you cope?

What would you do? I am considering taking him back to the GPs.

GPs sounds about right- you know what you're doing by the sound of it, so trust your instinct if you think it's excessive. I had babies like a hundred years ago and don't remember much about them tbh, but someone will be along who does...good luck!
