Alternative to Nature babycare disposables

DH was reading the packet today and found that they are made in Israel. Am boycotting (sp?) Israeli products just now, so wonder if anyone can recommend an alternative to them.

We do use reusables during the day most of the time, but disposables for some days out and overnight, so if anyone can recommend an eco friendly disposable that works as well as the Nature babycare ones, I'd be grateful.

Haven't tried them but a friend of mine recently switched to the Sainsburys own brand eco disposables instead of the naturecare ones. I don't know where they are made though.

Alternatively Spirit of Nature do some, you can request a free sample so you can see if they suit your baby or not. I find it's the baby, not the nappy, they have to be compatible - e.g. I find Pampers much better than Huggies but my friend is the other way around.

what about moltex? they're a lot more expensive than nature nappies though, and generally available on the internet, although our local organic shop sells them too. i have tried the sainsburys eco friendly ones as they were £1 cheaper than nature babycare ones, but they weren't as good - but we only use them for a 3-year-old at night. they may be fine for someone younger.

i was a bit when i saw nature nappies were made in israel too, but because it seems such a long way for them to come.

ASDA do their own brand eco disposables as well, which we've found better than the Nasture Babycare ones - they fit our little boy better and are a bit softer and less bulky.

I use Moltex or Sainsburys Eco which are fine for my 2 year old who is not a heavy wetter.
Am also boycotting Nature nappies/wipes for the same reason as you...

I get my moltex from spirit of nature. If you buy in bulk then they're not much dearer than branded ones. SoN also do bambo.

I can't believe "made in Israel" is a deterrent for anyone! Such propoganda.... yes, yes, we all know- Israel the BIG BAD AGGRESSOR and the poor oppressed "palestinian people".
We have a right to defend ourselves, a right to the land of Israel, a right to exist and a right to live in peace! Now go ask the other side here if they agree with the above basic statements that any nation in the world would demand.
Let me ask all of you, have you been as active and vocal concerning the recent elections in Iran, and the obvious violent oppression there?
Oh, by the way, if you're really serious about boycotting Israel, I can send you a very looong list of Israeli inventions that you should be boycotting as well. Start by turning off your cellphone. The microchip is just one of our esteemed inventions. Check this video out:

never realised a nappy thread could spark such fervour. Hmmm

HoratiosMummy · 27/03/2010 15:16

The response by mygod7 is EXACTLY why we should boycott Israeli goods!
So aggressive...

EnolaAlone · 27/03/2010 15:37

We buy Moltex ones in bulk from Natural Collection. Used to buy Bambo ones, but didn't find them as good.

cheeksandcherries · 27/03/2010 22:48

Try cloth nappies... they're great.

goldilochs · 19/06/2010 22:28

Thanks all of you. Noticed they were made in Israel about a year ago but only now feel I need to "go elsewhere" for my nappies. I'll try Moltex. I found the Sainsbury's one kept leaking as the elastic bit was never made properly but then it was early days...

domesticslattern · 19/06/2010 23:37

We also moved from Naturecare to Moltex for the same reason goldilochs. They work fine and DD likes the pictures.
