Hi all.

Ds1 is 8 next week and we have booked a football party for him and 11 friends. I wondered if party bags were perhaps to 'babyish' for his friends and if at the end i gave them each a medal and some football cards would that be enough?.
I normally go all out for the boys partys and the party bags have loads of little treats in them but just didnt want to embarrass ds1.

what would you do?

thanks

A medal and some football cards would be good - or do they still do those football sticker books where you collect stickers in those little packets? That would be good.

Hi i am doing ds 7th party this weekend and i was wondering the same thing.
Ds went to a football party and got a mini football and whistle which he was really pleased with.
I think medal or cards or stickers all fine.
I don't think i am going to bother at all tbh!

I got gracious permission from dd to hand out party bags at her 11th We have a special party bag game, and it turned out some of the old hands were actually looking forward to it.

DS is 8 later this year, and has attended a few of his friends 8th birthday parties. I think he would be disappointed if he didnt' get some sort of party bag and wouldn't find this at all babyish. I'm sure he would love the medal and football cards idea though.
