So how would I go about becoming a real nappy adviser person?

My DS is 1 (today ) and we love our nappies (Bumgenius). I did lots of research on reusables and tried a few types when he was little, and I'm one of those people who naturally soaks up lots of information and likes sharing it (i.e. i guess some people would call that being a know-it-all busybody!). So I've started to advise some other pregnant friends informally about reusable nappies and lending some of mine out etc. Anyway, it got me wondering about whether I should become some kind of official nappy adviser and, if so, how on earth do I go about doing this? Any advice?

Are you looking to earn money? Or just to share the knowledge?

If just knowledge sharing, our local NCT does Nappucino meetings to show and share cloth nappy experiences. If looking to make money, not sure how you'd do that - look at sites like Twinkle Twinkle, or the Nappy Lady - perhaps nappy companies would pay for advertising? Or if there's a big demand in your area for used, you could act as a secondhand agent and take a commission?

Just go to one of the companies who have nappy advisers and apply, there is usually a form on their website. So you could try Lollipop, Babykind etc.
