DD is 3yo, has been dry daytime's since 2yrs 5mths & I've figured it's time I bit the bullet and tried Night Training her

Soo, she's in bed asleep for 20mins or so now.

What do I do?

Do I go on upstairs and wake/ask her does she need to wee?

Please any advice!! I am clueless here!!

Tia!

Mine 3 1/2 decided to go no nappies last night, i wasn't planning on it but luckily had one of those pampers bed mat things so just put her on that (otherwise would have put her on a towel). I took her for a wee at 10pm and straight away in the morning but she had also done a little one in the night. She has gone back to nappies tonight! There are pros and cons to 'lifting' them for a wee, but it might help at first - just remember it is kind of 'training' them to wee at that time so hard to stop doing. Some people say with night time training they are either ready or not and something just clicks but don't know when you're supposed to know...Be prepared for a lot of wet beds.

byt he way, can't remember when i did it with my first (maybe about 4?) but she has never had a wet bed, but then she hardly ever wees...

Thanks JiminyCricket!

She wee's a fair bit during the day & her nappies in the morning are pretty wet but I never know if she's done that first thing or not..

Will see anyway! Not pushy whatsoever I follow her lead with training like this so will see how tonight goes with her

Thanks again!

With my dd, we noticed her nappy was dry in the morning and so asked her if she wanted to go without. This was a couple of months ago. She doesn't usually go to the toilet in the night (though sometimes I think she wakes because she needs to go - but she doesn't want to), we have had a few accidents (maybe 4 times?) and one night of mega pooing but all on the toilet (thankfully)!

Anyway, we didn't do anything really, she was just 'ready'...

dd decided she wanted no nappies just after she turned 3 - she had been having dry nappies in the morning for a while anyway so we went along with her. We didnt lift her for a wee and made sure she did the toilet just before she went to bed. The only time we did the lifting thing was when she started wetting again around the age of 3 1/2 and the lifting lasted a couple of months before we bit the bullet and left her to wake by herself. She has been mostly dry ever since (now 5).

I'd leave your lo to sleep and see how she gets on. If she sleeps to heavy and doesnt wake when she needs to go to the toilet then she may not be ready to be dry at night yet.
