Hi i have a very tall 16 month old who barely fits into a travel cot. We are going on holiday next week and wondering wether she is too young for my first readybed? any ideas please?

you could see if you could borrow one from a friend and try her in it at home before you go? if not, i'd say she woud have to be REALLY tall at 16 months to actually not fit into the cot- does she sleep ok in it? perhaps try that at home first too? does seem a BIT early for a bed but depends on how compliant or how much f a good sleeper she is?? will it be safe to leave her on holiday so she would effectively be free to roam? stairs/ other dangers? i assume she goes to bed before you in the evenings or has a daytime sleep? i would personally stick to the travel cot but see what others think!

I would stick with a travel cot too. In my experience ready beds are vile things, they squeak with every tiny movement and make an awful racket that keeps everyone awake all night.
