Recenty potty-trained and hysterical when nappy leaks at night

My DD potty-trained during the day just over a month ago and has been absolutely fine - says when she needs to go, and no problems or issues at all.

However, she very often wakes up at night because her nappy's leaked, even if she had a wee before bed. Until recently it didn't take too long just to change the bed in the middle of the night.

Now, however, she's starting to get hysterical because she's obviously woken up with a strong feeling of needing the potty, and still thinks she wants to sit on the potty - no matter how much we tell her it's OK, she's done it all, no wee wee left, fine to do it in nappy etc!

So she sits on the potty in the middle of the night in tears and won't get off, and if we do get her back into bed she doesn't want to lie down but wants to get up again and sit on the potty... total hysterics (very unlike her) and the whole thing is taking ages!

Have anyone else's children done this at this stage? She's clearly not ready to be dry at night, but how do I persuade her that it's OK to do it in her nappy/that she's already done it?

and above all, what can I put in her nappy to stop it leaking?! I'm loathe to restrict fluids at night - it's not as if she drinks a ton anyway.

p.s. she has Pampers size 5 at night. Maybe pullups would be a better fit...
