I feel sad, I was so horrible to dd2 tonight

and all because she, wait for it, broke a f*ing toy tiara...

so not exactly a big deal

but it reminded me so much of when the dd's were younger and therefore had sentimental value for me and I totally overreacted

Later apologized profusely and cried a bit and dd2, who is 5, said "don't worry Mum you're still very special to me"

I hate it when I'm like this

We all lose it sometimes. Don't dwell on it if you can. Sounds like your dd won't

well done for apolagizing, all you can do really.

give her an extra big hug tomorrow.

You are human. I posted a similar message not so long ago but I reacted badly because I was knackered and the kids were messing around at the end of the day.

You're human and it's part of growing up that our kids see us when we lose our temper and aren't on our best 'perfect Mummy' behaviour. I know exactly what you mean, I have done similar things myself and felt terrible and completely guilt-ridden. Don't be hard on yourself xx

Don't beat yourself up too much. You apologised to your DD and from what you have written it sounds as if she understood and accepted it. She knows her mummy is sorry and that when you are wrong you admit it to her.
