...bath toys.

Why are 4 squirters £10? They are plastic bits of nothing much, surely?

Just went online to buy a new swathe of bath toys as ours are horrible and squirt balack bits of old limescale at you rather than water.

Bugger that for a game of soldiers, it will be a tupperware box and an old jug.

Use an empty washing up liquid bottle. These are free!!!

You don't have to spend anything! We had a variety of containers, empty washing up liquid bottles, plastic cups, corks etc.

d Our pound shop do rubber ducks in packs of three and 4 squirty rubber toys for a pound a pack. Mabe they do them in yours? I agree that kids will be just as happy with jugs and bottles though.

Empty jif lemons are good.

I bought some nice squirty toys recently from Home Bargains for £1.99.

Empty jif lemon thingys are fab too, also the dcs like those pink scoops you get in Vanish tubs for pouring stuff in the bath

DD used to have loads of different bath toys ... now she just plays with her letters and a stack of empty shampoo/bubble bath bottles.

That said - if you are looking for bath toys, have you tried Asda? They often have quite good bits and bobs for a very few pennies.

I only buy hard bath toys that can go in the dishwasher as I hate the way they go all black and yucky and I'm far too lazy to scrub them!

saggyhairyarse · 22/03/2009 21:58

Some Playmobil stuff is great for bath toys. I've got a firemans pump set with hoses and valves that are good for squirting.

The research submarine looks good too.
