Huggies Little Swimmers/ Imse Vimise reusable swim nappy

We only use cloth, so am a disposable virgin, but Waterbabies 'National Policy' is that it must be a 'little swimmer' in addition to their neprene wrap.

Huggies Little Swimmers - Ok, so I know they don't swell up, but do they still have some sort of gel in?

If I was to make a fuss and see if I could get an exception and use a reusable swim nappy, eg Imse Vimise, how do they work? There must be some sort of absorbant cloth?

Help?

I got to waterbabies with both of mine but use re-usable nappies under the happy nappy - they never check!

I started using the Little Swimmers but now use a Tots Bots reusable. There is a tiny bit of gel in the Little Swimmers but swim nappies aren't there to catch wees, they're just there to catch poos. I think that Water Babies is somehow linked to both Huggies and Splash About hence the massive plugging of the products, they never check nappies so don't worry about it, but if you do have a poo leak they will have to shut the pool down and drain it so just be aware that if you have a leak and haven't got a Little Swimmers on they are likely to be seriously pissed off!

little swimmer mappies can be thrown in the washing machine, dried on a maiden and re-used over and over again!

when I went to waterbabies last week our instructor was much more laid back about the whole thing.... she said that the babies never poo in the pool cos they're too busy swimming!!! ;)
