I went out this evening with DS1 (10)

We crossed over a road.

I pushed the peican crossing button.

No one fussed to press it, no one said "Me do it! Me do it!" There wasn't a fight to push anyone out of the way to press the button first. No whining.

It was beautiful.

my DS1 (nearly 5) has been known to have quite nasty hissy-fits if someone else pushes the button on the crossing.
Also our monday morning runs something like this - Would you like rice crispies? Yes. Put bowl of crispies down and wait for the wailing to start. There's too much / not enough (delete as appropriate)rice crispies / milk (again delete as appropriate)
its a miracle he makes it to nursery with his head still on his shoulders
