I have bought DD an avent magic cup, but I can't understand the instructions .

On the inside of the lid, there is a clear leak proof valve thing. On the instructions, it says to disassmeble the thing before washing - am I supposed to take out the clear circular valve that is inside the lid? It doesn't look like it would come out easily - I might tear it? Can anyone help me?

This is the cup I bought.

We had these a couple of years back. If I remember correctly it all comes apart but will be a bit stiff for the first few times

Yep what more organised said. We have one and you basically do have to pull all the pieces apart, including the bit that attaches from the inside to the sippy bit.

Thanks very much! It is really stiff, but now I know it will be OK.

Yep all apart, they are fab cups btw, wish I had used them last time around instead of bloody tommy-tippee-uppy-spilly.

you remove the spout from the ring and then pull the silicone valve bit off of the spout and wash and let everything dry before putting it back together again.
