Just start writing, anything, you can go back and sort your introduction out later. Once you have started, and if you have planned the main points you want to make, the writing should start to flow more easily.

BTW if you haven't done an essay plan do one now, it will help to marshall and organise your thoughts, and therefore help you to focus: i.e:What do you want to say in the intro, what are the key points of your argument, with any relevant references/citations, how will you summ up/conclude.
